The Bersa Thunder Pro Series represent semi-automatics that provide unstoppable power and was built to perform under the toughest circumstances, dating from 1993.
A design of the Pro Series pistols was originally developed by and for the military/law-enforcement use. It is a design evolution of the original Thunder 9; well-known sidearm used by military and law enforcement professionals in South America with the addition of new features and several improvements. Nowadays, these semi-automatics are widely used also by civilians, mainly used for a personal protection and sport use.
The Thunder PRO is double-action, blowback-operated pistol, with a higher magazine capacity (13 or 17 rounds). It is available in 9 mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP calibers. The total length of the pistol is 7.56” and the barrel length is 4.25”.
It contains several ambidextrous features such as safety lever; slide stop levers are located on both sides of the grip, and the magazine catch. It contains several safety devices such as manual safety lever and decocker, firing pin safety, hammer automatically remains in half cock notch and isolate the hammer from the firing pin, and a loaded chamber indicator.
